I’ve been an avid reader of the Exiles comic since its first issue back in August 2001. In fact, I liked the series so much it quickly became my favorite book. I started looking forward to the Exiles more than all of my other comics combined! I’d read and re-read each book in anticipation of the next issue.
It’s not to say that this series didn’t have it’s down point. I don’t usually keep up with a change in writers when I’m enjoying a book. I always notice a change in art but that’s easy to spot, with Exiles I always noticed the change in the writing as well. I found that, early on in the series, the story felt new and exciting. It had a point and was getting to it slowly, one issue at a time. The books’ secrets were kept very well for years and kept me coming back for more!

watching a movie. What’s next on the queue? Bee Movie ’starring’ Jerry Seinfeld and a host of other big shots who lent their voices such as RenĂ©e Zellweger, Matthew Broderick, John Goodman, Chris Rock, Larry King, Ray Liotta, Sting, and yes, even Oprah Winfrey! With barely a laugh between the two of us for the entire movie, we patiently waited for a much needed smile-inducing scene. Actually, we were more exhausted than patient. If we had any energy in us we would have probably shut it off before the end.

I’m not actually sure what to write, nothing I could write can possibly do justice to this event. All I can say is that I’m thankful that he’s healthy, that my wife Nina recovered so quickly, and that both our families were there to help us every step of the way.
