I still loved his performance in "The Dark Knight" but you're right, Aaron Eckhar also performed superbly. Was he over-looked? Most definitely! Was it because of Ledger's death? Very possibly although I think he would have still been overlooked had Ledger not died before the release of the movie. Probably not as much as now, but still overlooked.
