Success is a journey not a destination: what is that supposed to mean?

In today’s day and age we are all looking to be successful somehow. Some of us play the lottery hoping to win millions of dollars. Others study toward becoming one of the trifecta of educational success: doctor, engineer or lawyer. And some of us break the law and try to cheat the system making a quick buck here and there.
How to become successful in life is something that I ponder about a lot. Being a manager of 27 employees it’s my job to motivate and support people in their career and life goals. In doing so I always look for fun team building activities to do and I look for great videos to watch in team meetings.
One that stood out for me was this amazing 4 minute video on the secret of success. The speaker’s name is Richard St. John. He is a self acclaimed “marketer and success analyst”. He describes himself as an average guy who found success doing what he loved, Richard St. John spent more than a decade researching the lessons of success — and distilling them into 8 words, 3 minutes and one successful book.
He’s published two books: “Spike’s Guide to Success: Stupid, Ugly, Unlucky and RICH” and “8 to Be Great: The 8 Traits that Lead to Great Success”. Richard also has a website http://www.richardstjohn.com/.
Check out the vide0 and read the books! The video is at the bottom of this article…
Remember success is a journey not a destination….yeah yeah I know you’re thinking it’s corny but you love it anyway!
