Google has done it again! Taking an existing app and revamping the way it looks and the way it works… for the sake of internet and all its netizens. Google has created their own browser. Not since the cold war between I.E and Netscape has one been so bold in the face of Microsoft.
Don’t get me wrong, Mozilla is great and it’s my favorite browser by far.
But Google will build on the successes of Mozilla, and play Microsoft at its own game - the art of mass distribution!
Mind you Google will be kinder about it…where Microsoft puts a gun to our heads to use their product, Google makes it easy, nice, and friendly to use their products.
And if there is something wrong with it, well its in BETA form. GMAIL is still in BETA form…if you don’t believe me take a look at the logo for GMAIL… it still says BETA in the lower right hand corner after all these years.
There is an amazing series of articles about why and how GOOGLE created their browser named CHROME! It has a nice ring to the name, like a super hero might say: “Let go of the victim or i will bring my chrome to your dome!” Well GOOGLE is bringing this CHROME to Microsoft’s dome.

Yeah this i what I got:
“Google Chrome for Linux is in development and a team of engineers is working hard to bring it to you as soon as possible.”
Oh well, guess I’ll have to download it at work to try it

I tried it and it works preaty well…i found it slow in the begining but now its preatty fast! faster than any other browser i’ve used before! probaly because the address bar works closely with your cached sites and the search mechanism within google technology….a hybrid solution…since its open source lets modify it and create our own browser :0)

WARNING! Read the EULA very carefully before you install Chrome. Specifically section 11. It apparently gives google the right to use any material submitted to any site using Chrome for any purpose they choose.
This page has more info
Serious trouble for students and people who produce IP for their emplyers through their browser as that right is not theirs to give away.
No doubt its just an oversight by the legal brains at Google, but worth noting anyway.

Wow good find!
Also, although less importantly, it keeps crashing on me when I have a lot of tabs open
