WIFI in my car … did you say WIFI? You really meant HI-FI … as in stereo … right?

It has finally arrived…we will now be able to subscribe to wireless internet for our car! Now you don’t have to wait to get home to perform your WoW raids…you can raid all the way home! Wait a minute isn’t that too dangerous? Well who cares about the road and highway safety guidelines – this is WIFI on the fly!
The other day I heard on the radio that Chrysler will be coming out with WIFI internet for cars. So I did all this research on the net checking out ENDGADGET, TWICE, CRUNCH GEAR and more geek driven sites and to my pleasure it’s true.
Chrysler motors announced earlier this year that it would be providing 2009 models of certain vehicles with internet capabilities. Well earlier this month they announced that they will begin selling this feature as early as August 25 of this year.
This might not be big news to most but, this being the first game I work on that wasn’t canceled/postponed, I’m totally psyched! Yup, my first ever designed game to see a public release, Midnight Pool for Wii Ware, is coming soon to a Wii near you!
I haven’t played Magic the Gathering with “real cards” in years. In fact, I had taken apart all of my decks and put my more valuable cards in binders and the less valuable ones in boxes. They would have very likely stayed that way if I didn’t stumble upon 2 co-workers playing on their lunch break one fateful day!Fond memories of casting dragons and tapping assassins came flooding in! I asked if they would kindly include me in on their next game and they gladly accepted, but not without some hesitation. I had confessed that I had not played in years and they were worried that my ancient cards might not hold-up to their newer ones. One of them even offered to let me play with a pre-contructed deck until I got myself some new cards. I gracefully declined of course…
A co-worker of mine (we’ll call him Coyote) and I had a friendly discussion the other day about multi-player games. I was arguing that any game can be “fun” and “at least playable” if you played it in multi-player with friends as long as there weren’t any negative outside factors (such as lag, broken controller, sun in your eyes, etc..). We decided to put this theory to the test.
A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by a representative of the website
Over this weekend, I’ve spent a significant amount of time with both the 360 and the PS3 versions of Soul Calibur. Since I own both an X-Box 360 and a Playstation 3, I wanted to see which version was worth getting.
First let me say I have been a Soul Calibur enthusiast not just from Soul Calibur 1, but from its often forgottenĀ predecessor Soul Blade on PS1, remembering vividly the crazy hours I dedicated to the world tour mode in order to get every possible sword!
I have to say that I am boggled at how successful Nintendo is these days. They literally gave their hardcore fans the finger with comments like “the only ppl who want hard disk space in their wii are geeks and otakus” or with this year’s E3. More and more Nintendo has been laughing in all our faces. I own a wii, and can see how it really brings in non gamers, but its NOT a next gen system and worse its controls are completely broken.
I’ve been a fighting game fan as far back as I remember. I’ve played most of the iterations of both the Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat games in the arcades on the first day of their respective launches. I would have even done the same for Street Fighter 4 had there been an arcade anywhere in Montreal that had it. Although I love the genre to death, that doesn’t mean I hold all of its constituents to the same esteem. In fact, I’ve preferred the Street Fighter series hands-down for many reasons.
Apparently, a
