Another Game Designer here in the studio happened to look outside and spot a falcon eating a pigeon! I wonder if this could be used as inspiration for a game! What am I saying, of course it can! I’d play it

Move over William Hung, there’s a new King of Idol in town! Yesterday’s Canadian Idol had one of the most memorable performances in my humble opinion! Khuram Sher won everyone’s hearts with his heart-felt singing and well-practiced dancing as he performed April (sic) Lavigne’s song Complicated! He made the judges explode in laughter more than once as well!
Did I mention that he’s a personal friend of mine? Yup … well stop reading and start watching already!

I know this is a silly reason to make a blog post but I was so happy with the MSN avatar my friend Hugo made for me that I just had to show it off!
Anyway, check out his DeviantArt page! He really is a talented guy!

My good friend Jean-Francois just sent me this picture of his car! For the people out there who think they have everything figured out, this isn’t photoshopped, it’s a stencil he bought off e-Bay. I’m so jealous it’s not even funny

Ever since my baby boy was born on February first, everyone keeps asking the same thing. How is it that I can find so much time for video games? Having a baby is very time consuming and, even with my generous 6 weeks of parental leave, I still found it hard to find time for myself (ie: gaming time).
That is, before I discovered that my shoulder is more comfortable to a newborn than any bed, pillow, blanket or hammock made by man:

I intended my first post to be a touching plea about censorship and free speech but this would be for later, for since then
something more important happened: I had to eat!
So I tried to fix myself a nice a nutritious meal (6 hotdogs actually) and found out that I was out of Ketchup. Now I’m French-Canadian, not an American so I don’t put ketchup on everything and anything but hotdogs NEED ketchup.
So I went to the 7-11 (it’s quite late as I write this) and all they had was a ‘classic’ GLASS Heinz Ketchup bottle.
I just finished battling with it and am eating as I write this (keyboard cleanliness is for wusses) and a battle it was, of epic proportions. I had forgotten how frustrating those Glass Ketchup bottles could be. A little drop here and there, then you knock on the bottle and get a big batch covering your hand like if you had just went into a killing rampage in your neighborhood then you have start over for the next hot-dog. (not that I ever went into a killing rampage nor that you could prove it)

On Friday we were a couple, now we’re a family. God blessed us with a beautiful baby boy who we named Ali. I’m not actually sure what to write, nothing I could write can possibly do justice to this event. All I can say is that I’m thankful that he’s healthy, that my wife Nina recovered so quickly, and that both our families were there to help us every step of the way.

Yesterday I was preparing myself for another long Wednesday at the office. You see, Wednesdays are release days for our former video game project, which means we have to come up with a playable version to send off to the Executive Producer for scrutiny. I say former video game project because, unfortunately, we were informed yesterday that our project was canned.

I’ve been avoiding the whole blog thing ever since it started to pick-up speed. I’ve always loved to write but blogs felt too much like online diaries and the idea of strangers reading my most intimate opinions was too unsettling. I’ve since seen blogs to be what they truly are: an alternative news and views source to the cut-and-paste, mundane, non-sense that passes for mainstream online content these days.
