hspa1.jpgAbout a week an half ago (October 10) TELUS Inc. announced that they will be upgrading their network to the next stage in CDMA technology which is called HSPA. To many TELUS followers dismay they will not be changing to  the ever popular GSM, BUT (and that is a big BUT) most cell phone carriers will be switching over to HSPA technology in the near future also. So take that ROGERS and FIDO.

akoha-logo-final-draft.jpgI was reading Rayna’s blog the other day when she mentioned this new game Akoha. What can I say, the concept behind Akoha is quite brilliant! A card game that rewards people for doing good deeds in real life? That’s awesome on so many levels!I love card games and I always talk about doing good deeds so I feel almost as if the designers of this game had me in mind all along! Rayna just gave me my starter deck on Friday and I can’t wait to get started spreading good all other the world and tracking how far my good deeds go! (more…)

chrome1.jpgGoogle has done it again! Taking an existing app and revamping the way it looks and the way it works… for the sake of internet and all its netizens. Google has created their own browser. Not since the cold war between I.E and Netscape has one been so bold in the face of Microsoft.

Don’t get me wrong, Mozilla is great and it’s my favorite browser by far.

But Google will build on the successes of Mozilla, and play Microsoft at its own game – the art of mass distribution!

8-12-08-jeep_internet_car.jpgIt has finally arrived…we will now be able to subscribe to wireless internet for our car! Now you don’t have to wait to get home to perform your WoW raids…you can raid all the way home! Wait a minute isn’t that too dangerous? Well who cares about the road and highway safety guidelines – this is WIFI on the fly!

The other day I heard on the radio that Chrysler will be coming out with WIFI internet for cars. So I did all this research on the net checking out ENDGADGET, TWICE, CRUNCH GEAR and more geek driven sites and to my pleasure it’s true.

Chrysler motors announced earlier this year that it would be providing 2009 models of certain vehicles with internet capabilities. Well earlier this month they announced that they will begin selling this feature as early as August 25 of this year.

richard-stjohn.jpgIn today’s day and age we are all looking to be successful somehow. Some of us play the lottery hoping to win millions of dollars. Others study toward becoming one of the trifecta of educational success: doctor, engineer or lawyer. And some of us break the law and try to cheat the system making a quick buck here and there.

How to become successful in life is something that I ponder about a lot. Being a manager of 27 employees it’s my job to motivate and support people in their career and life goals. In doing so I always look for fun team building activities to do and I look for great videos to watch in team meetings.
