I wanted to bring another amazing site to your attention. The site is TED.com.

TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from those three worlds. Since then its scope has become ever broader. The annual conference now brings together the world’s most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives.

This site makes the best talks and performances from TED available to the public, for free. More than 200 talks from their archive are now available, with more added each week. These videos are released under a Creative Commons license, so they can be freely shared and reposted. Like the one below. If you believe in any humanitarian causes or love entertainment and technology this site is a must see.

firefox3.jpgHaven’t you always wanted to be on the pages of the Guinness Book of World Records? Well here’s your chance! Download the latest version of the Firefox internet browser and you’ll not only get the best internet browser out there (screw IE), but you’ll also possibly make it on the pages of the Guinness Book of World Records! And did I mention it’s free? Sounds like a win-win situation to me!

joe_mad_street_fighter_cover.jpgI tried my hand at making a Joe Madureira tribute PS3 theme and I’m actually very happy with the result! For those who don’t know, Joe Madureira is one of the best comic book artists ever and definitely my favorite.

To name a few comics, he’s worked on X-Men, Street-Fighter, and the Ultimates ! Not to mention a short-lived series of his own creation called Battle Chasers. He’s also made a lot of concept art for video games. The man is a living legend and is one of the biggest reasons I draw today.

Anyhow, if you’d like to download and use the theme, you can do so here directly from your PS3’s browser! I’d really appreciate if you would also give my theme a 5 star vote if you like it ;)

mugen_vs_screen.jpgYesterday, my brother re-introduced me to the wonderful world of MUGEN. I’ve seen some youtube MUGEN matchups before and did a little research to find out what it is, but I had never taken the time to actually download and try making my own fighting game.

You see, M.U.G.E.N is a freeware 2D fighting game engine that emulates Capcom’s Street Fighter and allows the creation and integration of customer characters, stages, game modes etc… Ever fancied pitting Peter Griffin against Homer Simpson? Or Spider-man vs Superman? Or Wolverine vs Batman? How about Mario vs Sonic? Ok, with the exception of the last one, no video game has ever allowed you to do the other match-ups before!
