After a few weeks of either not liking the shop contest of the week (another ad placement?) or just not having the time, I’m back in business with a new entry!

Hope you like this one as I actually am a big fan of Mister Hung. If not of this music, then at least of his name!

Let me know what you think:

After a 2 week hiatus, Kotaku’s weekly photoshop is back! Which means I’m back as well with another submission!

This week’s theme is strange to say the least. We were tasked with showing video game characters and/or iconic video game weapons behind an X-Ray screen.

I couldn’t think of anything witty or clever so I just followed the instructions and am crossing my fingers :P

Oh, and my first submission, Pepto-Kirby, made top 20 by the way :D

So Kotaku is having a weekly Photoshop contest. The most recent being about showing what video game characters would do for money if times were hard. I decided to join in on the fun.

I’ll try to participate every week if possible, and I’ll of course post my entries on towardsmecca. This should theoretically mean that I would be posting weekly. Let’s see how long that lasts :P

Below is my entry: Pepto-Kirby! Enjoy ;)

UPDATE: My entry made it to the top 20!!! YOOHOOO!!

left4deadrising_small.jpg I don’t understand why I just can’t get enough of Left 4 Dead! By all rights, I should have moved on to 2 or 3 others games by now, but I have absolutely no desire to play anything else! This is totally insane! This reminds me of another zombie game I became totally obsessed with: Dead Rising.

I have completed Dead Rising no fewer than 7 times and have nabbed every achievement but 1! Well technically I did fulfill the requirements for that one achievement but it didn’t unlock for some reason :P

Anyway, I decided that Frank West from Dead Rising more than deserves a place on a Left 4 Dead poster if not in the game itself and so I photoshopped him in as a tribute. Enjoy :P

ubuntu.png Back in March, I wrote about my first experience with Ubuntu. Although it was a very pleasant one, I kept my Vista installed and couldn’t convince my wife to switch over. That meant that every time I got home, Vista was running. More often than not, I’d be too lazy to boot the PC back into Ubuntu and so I just ended up using more Vista than Ubuntu.

Well that’s not entirely fair, I would sometimes boot into Vista myself to use Photoshop. I know that Ubuntu comes loaded with GIMP, its own graphic editor with features comparable to Photoshop, but I was not at all interested in learning a new graphic editor when I had a perfectly good “paid for” one that I was already proficient with.
